Richlife Nigeria Company was founded in 2015. We are a company that deals in contemporary lifestyle sustainable products that have been carefully selected to aid our clients in making sustainable swaps. Initially, we were only concerned with the importation of organic, healthy cupboard groceries and providing nutritional consultation services to clients.
Due to the precedents of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, through careful research and study, our vision was somewhat restructured and the name of the company changed as well. The name of the company was changed to Richlife Sustainable Lifestyle Company.
Imoh Mitchelle Okpon is the founder and CEO of the company, and has led it since its inception. She is seasoned and experienced in business, and is responsible for conceptualizing the business ideologies and innovations.
She is a policy analyst, with degrees from the University of Calabar — a Diploma in Personnel Management and a BSc in Policy Studies and Administration — and a professional master's degree from the University of Lagos in Public and International Affairs.
It was her interest in the subject of commerce and international trade that gave her more perspective on business, sales negotiations, and marketing, as well as massive influences from her parents.
Her company was born as a result of her desire to live and lead an impactful and more conscious lifestyle. She loves researching — which led her into the deep waters of knowledge about sustainability during the 2020 pandemic lockdown phase. She relaunched her company as she started to live and shop in a more sustainable way.
However, she found it difficult finding products that aligned with her new values — as this seemed unusual in Nigeria, where she resides. During the course of researching, she was able to make enquiries about the production, importation, and sourcing of ethical products from around the world, in order to make informed purchases which helped to promote ethical and environmentally friendly living.
Her resolve was to preach the gospel of sustainability, sieve out those that were on the journey, win over those that would love the idea, and eventually grow a community to help do the best they can to gradually live a sustainable lifestyle — which has been the most rewarding part of creating the company.
"I was thinking of ways we could live more sustainably. I believe everyone can make a positive impact, and even small changes make a big difference. Due to global trends, by joining the rest of the world to protect our environment and also the gains of using Earth's resources — like getting quality living, reducing waste, and being able to save more — be involved personally in the production process of our food for optimal wellness."
The visions of the company is now geared towards assisting clients attain a sustainable and conscious lifestyle and reduce all sort of waste in their daily living in a bid to save cost and protect our environment in the long run. Our vision is to protect environmentally- friendly and ethical shopping .we partner with brands and manufacturers who have the planet at the core of their ethos. In a bid to achieve our visions, carefully selected products are made available for retail- with quality and style in mind; such include household items for daily use that will aid in the participation of food production process, these items are safe for our environment – because they are ethically as well as organically sourced- any form of harmful chemicals and toxins were excluded. Our products are vegan friendly and cruelty free. Also, they are sustainable- mostly Reusable other than single use, as they support long-term ecological balance and waste prevention.
